Make your pub Instagramable
Instagram is a great way to communicate with customers.
Instagram is becoming the social media platform of choice for many people, taking over from Facebook and Twitter.
We’ve put together a few links to some great articles that will cover what you need to know and do to make Instagram successful for your businesses.

Business Profile – First things first, make sure your account is a business account and not a normal account
Hashtags - Decide on a hashtag to use for your business i.e. #everards and use it on all posts. Research interesting and relevant hashtags.
Feel free to use between 10-20 and either pop them into your post i.e. Happy #valentines everyone! Or just put them all at the end of your post after your text.

Images - Think about your images – you want to stop people scrolling, so your images / gifs or videos need to be interesting, quirky, pretty or cool – whatever fits and reflects your pub.
Build a bank of images, or ask staff to share pics in a WhatsApp group, so just before they serve that amazing dish or beautiful cocktail they snap a picture (remembering it will be cropped to a square if not taken in this format originally) that you can use later.
Tags - Tag people using @ (so if it’s a Burleighs drink use @burleighsgin , a pint of Tiger use @everards1849 or a Carling promotion use @carlinguk, find the business and tag them in).
Posts – post when you have something to say, new products, events, dishes, don’t just post every day because you feel you should. Use chatty informal messaging the same as you would if they were stood at the bar.
