Business Rates Advice

Due to the pandemic, your new Rateable Value (RV) could be significantly different from your last.

To help you avoid the many pitfalls of this complicated property tax, Everards have employed the Chartered Surveyor firm, Colliers International, to provide Business Owners with free independent rating advice. Their support ranges from responding to Valuation Office Agency (VOA) requests, to challenging your RV through the Check, Challenge and Appeals process.

To ensure your RV is calculated properly, we would suggest that Colliers respond to any requests from the VOA on your behalf. If you have already provided your turnover information to the VOA, Colliers can still undertake a sensor check prior to the release of next year’s Rateable Values – in order to react quickly when the new Business Rates are announced later this year, we recommend that you contact Colliers before December.

Any information that you provide to Colliers is treated as strictly confidential and will only be used by them in order to review or contest your rating assessment.
