£500 funds new fire door in Cosby
Paul Hodges, Landlord of The Bulls Head pub in Cosby nominated his local community library to gain much needed funding when he heard about the We Got This campaign via Everards.
£90k investment with a million dollar view!
The Cheney has the best views in Leicestershire, and it's even more charming now, thanks to a recent £90k joint investment.
Business owners Mark and Louise re-joined Everards during lockdown; they came all the way from Australia to settle back into a new life here in Leicestershire at the Cheney Arms. The Cheney has the best views in Leicestershire, and it's a beautiful pub to be in, whether drinking or dining. The pub is even more charming now, thanks to a recent £90k joint investment by Mark, Louise and Everards.
The roof was in need of some love and has been completely re-done using stunning local Swithland Slate. The letting rooms have been upgraded as well as some general TLC inside and outside the pub.
Louise says:“We’ve been in the pub nearly two years now and knew a few bits needed some attention. We started with the letting rooms which we invested in ourselves. They look great and we’re really proud to let them out now. We had a chat with Everards about some of the bigger projects – like the roof as that was something we knew we needed to tackle but needed some support in funding."
"Everards have been great in helping us to get these jobs done and complete our vision for the pub. The local Stone Slate is beautiful and we know will last a long time, it really suits the building and the environment.
We’ve loved taking on the pub, despite the world being in an unstable place, we’d worked with Everards many years before and once we’d made the decision to come back to the UK we knew we wanted to run a pub and to run a pub with Everards. We couldn’t believe when such a beautiful pub became available. We love it here, the people are great and the setting is stunning. We welcome our regulars and so many people take a drive out to dine and drink with us, which a huge compliment. We’re looking forward to building up the business and welcoming more guests in 2023!”
