This historic inn once served as the original booking office for the Leicester to Swanningcote railway in 1832 and a plaque and map are still there to commemorate its history. Inside, customers are treated to a wide range of sports shown both on Sky and BT sports with well-situated large screens throughout the pub. There is a main bar area and a snug both served by one central bar. To the rear is an outdoor drinking area seating 20 people.

The pub boasts a 5* TripAdvisor with one review stating “Amazing local pub. Great for couples, friends or families.”
