Our focus on sustainable brewing reduces environmental impact, supports local resources, and uplifts the community. We aim to set a positive example, securing a vibrant, resilient future for all.

There are a number of ways we currently work to achieve this...

Solar Panels
Everards Meadows is designed with sustainability in mind! Our brewery’s roof is covered with solar panels that generate enough energy to brew around 50,000 pints of beer every year. Plus, the building is optimized with natural light, efficient heating, cooling, and ventilation to keep us green and eco-friendly.

Yeast Waste Recycling
Instead of pouring waste yeast down the drain, which can harm the environment, we send it to an anaerobic digestion plant just 4 miles away. There, it’s turned into biogas, creating green energy from our leftovers—definitely a win-win for us and the planet!

Water & Cleaning
We’re mindful of water and cleaning resources! By reclaiming and reusing our cleaning detergents, we minimize waste and limit what goes down the drain. Each year, we work to improve our water efficiency, so every drop is used wisely.

Energy Efficiency
Our brewery setup is all about reducing energy consumption. For instance, For instance, We generate nitrogen to use instead of using CO2 to flush oxygen from our pipes. We also have extensive energy monitoring systems in place to help control our use.

We also use extra insulation on our vessels to conserve heat, making every stage as efficient as possible.

Eco-Friendly Rides
We keep our grounds tidy with an electric buggy, ditching petrol for clean energy. Most of our company cars are now electric or hybrid, and as leases come up, we’re trying to move towards the most viable eco-friendly options where possible.
