The Albion Arms

36 Dunstable Road, Ampthill, MK45 2JT

Welcome to the Albion

We're looking for a beer-loving, community-focused individual to take the reins of this much-loved pub in the heart of Ampthill. If you’re someone who lives and breathes great beer, thrives on bringing people together, and wants to shape a pub around your personality and passion - this could be your moment!

The Albion’s a gem of a pub, standing out from the crowd for its vast selection of real ales, ever-changing local guest beers and its proper pub feel.

Located in the historic market town of Ampthill, this narrow-fronted Victorian pub has a bar lined with 12 hand pumps and prides itself on serving well-conditioned real ale and ciders, along with a great selection of local guest beers that customers won’t find at other local venues.

It is a vibrant town with a weekly market, several restaurants, village shops, and pubs. There is also a variety of annual events and celebrations enjoyed by the local community and those from further afield.

Step inside and you immediately feel the warmth and buzz of a true local hub. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows your name, and there’s always something going on. Locals gather here to share stories over a pint, and it's a meeting spot for the community’s sports teams, whether it’s the local cricket team celebrating a win or the rugby team unwinding after a match.

There’s one main bar area that spans the length of the pub, seating 70, plus a small snug area for eight. Its array of mismatched tables, chairs and benches creates cosy corners and bar stool gathering spots that naturally draw people together. In winter, the log burner adds to the atmosphere, and there is a small courtyard out the back.

Although it doesn’t have a kitchen, there’s plenty of opportunity to work with local eateries, and the pub currently supports the local bakery - welcoming customers to purchase their delights to enjoy with a pint.

The exciting array of entertainment, from lively quiz nights and open mic evenings to fantastic live music that fills the pub, there’s always a reason to pop in. It really is the heartbeat of the community - a place where locals and friends connect week after week.

The Albion is a simple, straightforward operation with over 10 years of successful trading, making it an exciting opportunity for someone ready to step into running their own pub. It would suit anyone with a genuine appreciation for beer, a strong sense of community, and the drive to turn The Albion into the place to go for great craft beer in Ampthill.
