Our Beers

Everards has been brewing great beers in Leicestershire since 1849, combining traditional brewing expertise with modern innovation. From classic cask ales to contemporary craft-inspired brews, the Everards beer range offers something for every beer lover. Whether you're looking for award-winning ales, premium lagers or brewery-fresh seasonal releases, discover the beers that have made Everards a trusted name in British brewing for more than 175 years. Every beer we brew starts with the same commitment William Everard brought to Southgate Street in 1849: honest ingredients, thoughtful brewing and a genuine pride in what goes into the glass.

Discover the Everards Beer Range

The Everards beer range has grown across six generations of family brewing, but the instinct behind it has never changed: brew beers that people love to drink, in styles that reflect both tradition and the moment we're in - we call it tradition with ambition.

Tiger, our flagship cask ale, has been pouring in pubs across Leicestershire and the Midlands since 1972. Old Original brings richness and depth that reward slower drinking. Sunchaser offers something lighter for those who want great flavour without the weight. Alongside these, we brew limited-edition beers that change throughout the year and Small Batch brews from our on-site experimental brewery that never leave Everards Meadows. The only way to try them is to come and find us or an Everards pub.

What Makes Everards Beers Unique?

It's the combination of everything we bring to the brewing process.

We brew on a solar-powered site using quality malt, hops chosen for their specific character and yeast strains developed over years of brewing. Our brewers understand the role secondary fermentation plays in the depth of a great cask ale and take the time to get it right.

Brewery-fresh beer tastes different from beer that has travelled far and sat in storage, and that freshness is something you can genuinely taste. We're also fully independent. No parent company, no shareholders, just a sixth-generation family making decisions based on what produces the best beer and experience for our customers and pub business owners.

“I enjoy getting creative, and I try to be as out of the box as possible! I love anything that’s a bit awkward for us to brew”

Scott Bryan

Brewed in Leicestershire Since 1849

Our beers being brewed here in Leicestershire is a point of identity, not just geography. We've brewed through six generations, two world wars and an era of consolidation that absorbed many independent breweries into larger groups. We stayed because we believe local brewing matters. Our connections to the Leicester Tigers, our 140-plus pubs and the landscape of Everards Meadows are woven into every beer we make.

Find Your Perfect Everards Beer

Our award-winning beers are available across our 140-plus pubs in the Midlands, in the Beer Hall at Everards Meadows and through our online shop for premium ales and lagers to enjoy at home. Use our pub finder to discover which beers are pouring near you.

From Traditional Ales to Modern Craft Beer

We've never seen traditional British ales and British craft beer as opposites. Our heritage gives us a deep understanding of what makes a great cask ale: natural carbonation, hop bitterness balanced against malt character and conditioning time that allows flavour to develop. Those principles matter more in a craft beer era, not less. Our Small Batch Brewery explores India pale ale styles, stouts, porters, fruit sours and golden ales with the same care that goes into every pint of Tiger.

Frequently asked questions

What beers are available in the Everards beer range?

The Everards beer range includes our flagship cask ale, Tiger; the rich, full-bodied Old Original; and the lighter Sunchaser, alongside a rotating programme of seasonal releases and Small Batch brews available exclusively at the Beer Hall. Our independent brewery beers span a range of styles from traditional British ales and golden ales to experimental craft-inspired brews, giving beer lovers a genuinely broad selection to explore across the full Everards range.

Where are Everards beers brewed?

All Everards beers are brewed at our partially solar-powered brewery at Everards Meadows, Cooper Way, Enderby, Leicestershire, LE19 2AN. As beers brewed in Leicestershire with more than 175 years of local brewing heritage behind them, our beers are made on the same site as our Beer Hall, meaning visitors can enjoy brewery-fresh beer poured directly from the source. It's as close to the brewing process as you can get without putting on a hard hat.

What makes Everard's beers different from other breweries?

Everards independent brewery beers stand apart through a combination of 175 years of brewing heritage, genuine family independence and a commitment to the brewing process that prioritises flavour over convenience. We use quality ingredients, including carefully selected hops and established yeast strains, brew on a solar-powered site, and take the time required for proper secondary fermentation and conditioning. The result is brewery-fresh beer with real depth and character that reflects its origins.

Does Everards brew both traditional ales and craft beers?

Yes. Our core range celebrates the best of traditional British ales, including Tiger, one of the most recognised cask ales in the East Midlands. Our Small Batch Brewery explores the full breadth of British craft beer, producing styles including India pale ales with bold hop character, stouts, porters, fruit sours and golden ales. Both sides of our brewing reflect the same attention to the beer brewing process, whether the style is classic or contemporary.

Which Everards beers are the most popular?

Tiger is our most recognised and widely drunk beer, a full-bodied cask ale that has been pouring in pubs across Leicestershire and the Midlands since 1972. Old Original is a firm favourite among those who enjoy richer, more complex traditional British ales. Among our craft-inspired brews, Small Batch releases generate significant interest each time they arrive in the Beer Hall, particularly limited-edition styles such as our imperial stouts and hop-forward India pale ales.

Are Everards beers available outside Leicestershire?

Our core Everards beer range is available across our estate of more than 140 pubs in Leicestershire and the wider Midlands, as well as through our online shop at shop.everards.co.uk for home delivery. Our Small Batch beers are available exclusively at the Beer Hall at Everards Meadows and some make it into our shop on site. For the fullest experience of the Everards beer range, a visit to Everards Meadows in Leicestershire remains the best option.

What ingredients are used in Everards beers?

Everards beers are brewed using quality malt, carefully selected hops for their specific hop character and bitterness, established yeast strains, and water. Our brewing process respects the role each ingredient plays in the finished beer, from the malt's contribution to body and colour through to the yeast's role in fermentation and the natural carbonation that gives our cask ales their condition. We don't take shortcuts with ingredients because the quality of what goes in directly determines what comes out.

Has Everards won any awards for its beers?

Yes. Everards has a longstanding track record of producing award-winning beers recognised across the British brewing industry. Tiger, in particular, has earned consistent recognition as one of the leading cask ales in the East Midlands. Our Brewery Tour is also rated as one of the best brewery experiences in the UK by visitors on TripAdvisor. Recognition matters to us not as a marketing tool, but as confirmation that the care we put into our brewing process shows up in the glass.

Which Everards beer should I try first?

If you're new to Everards beers, Tiger is the natural starting point. It's our flagship cask ale, the beer that best represents who we are and what we've been doing since 1849. If you prefer something richer, Old Original is worth trying alongside it. For those interested in British craft beer and more experimental styles, a visit to the Beer Hall at Everards Meadows gives you access to our Small Batch range and whatever seasonal beers are currently pouring, making it the best way to explore the full Everards beer range in one visit.

Where can I enjoy Everards beers on draught?

Everards beers are available on draught across our estate of more than 140 pubs in Leicestershire and the Midlands. Use our pub finder to locate your nearest Everards pub. For the freshest possible brewery experience, the Beer Hall at Everards Meadows pours our full core range alongside seasonal releases and exclusive Small Batch brews served directly from the brewery next door.
