As this weekend brings Anthony and the team’s incredible 300th birthday celebrations at The Robin Hood & Little John in Arnold to a close, we want to say a huge congratulations – and thank you – to everyone who has helped make it such a special celebration.
Three hundred years as a pub is quite a milestone! Just imagine the stories those walls could tell, the pints that have been poured and the generations of people who have walked through the doors.
It’s been fantastic to see Anthony and the Lincoln Green team celebrate the pub’s history with a whole week of events, bringing together regulars, former employees, local people and plenty of familiar faces along the way.
We were also delighted to play a small part in the celebrations by brewing a special 300th birthday beer together. Julian popped along to raise a glass with Anthony and the team – a fitting way to toast such an incredible milestone.
The Robin Hood & Little John has been operated by Lincoln Green Brewing Company since 2014 and is part of our Project William partnership, which supports independent brewers to run great traditional pubs and bring local beer to local communities.
The celebrations have included live music, a community bake off, a history talk, Lego Night, a special quiz and plenty more – culminating this Bank Holiday weekend with a 20-beer festival running from Friday 28th to Monday 31st August.
