2023The Leicestershire Cares 2023 Awards evening celebrates all of the work they do for our community throughout the year. It was a pleasure to be in a room with many local businesses like us that support them with volunteering in various ways.
This year, we were nominated for three awards and walked away with the award for 'Outstanding Contribution to Interview Techniques' ⭐ which we are really proud of!

2023Julian Everard, is the son of Richard Everard and is the sixth generation, to chair the business.
Julian brings a wealth of experience, having an MBA from the London Business School and from his previous role at Bain & Company. He has been a Non-Executive Director since 2017 and has worked actively in the business as a key member of our Leadership Team since 2020.

2022Launched in 1972, the first barrels of Everards Tiger ale were delivered to pubs. The branding depicted a bright modern image which symbolised the progressive and confident mood of Everards at the start of a new decade. Brewed exclusively for our own pub estate of over 150 pubs and our prestigious partners including our local rugby club, the Leicester Tigers, Tiger really is a special beer.

2022Everards Meadows Phase 1B is the third phase of Everards’ ambitious relocation strategy to create a viable and vibrant destination.
Thanks to our contractors Kier Construction we won in the 'Large Non-Residential' category.
Phase 1B was the design and construction of Everards’ new headquarters building, its new brewery, beer hall, shop and offices, as well as extensive soft landscaping, tree planting and cycle and pedestrian paths to link this phase of the development to the cycle routes and bridge created in Phase 1A.
It is a pioneering mixed-use scheme, combining leisure, commercial, industrial, process and manufacturing and retail elements with a focus on the customer experience.
2021The Beer Hall is now open, serving delicious food and great beer in the beautiful surroundings of Everards Meadows.

2021The Beautiful Everards Meadows is now open, come along and discover the 70 acres of beautiful green meadows, with cycling and pedestrian walkways that connect to Route 6 on the National Cycle Network. You can hire a bike or relax in the bright and spacious Jenno's Coffee House with a lovely coffee and some delicious cake!

2019We are now based at Optimus Point in Glenfield. This is the new home of our logistics centre and the temporary home of our whole team whilst we planned the Everards Meadows development.
2017We moved from Castle Acres in 2017 and are working on our new home at Everards Meadows. Set in 85 acres of green space, Everards Meadows will feature a cycle centre and cafe as well as our offices and shop.

In recognition of its commitment to pubs, CAMRA recognise the business with the “Bill Squires Award” which was last given out 10 years prior making it a rare privilege.
For the first time, the business is awarded the “Publican Pub Company of the Year” Award, a highly respected accolade which it would also go on to win in 2008, 2010 and 2013.
2007Everards celebrates its 150th Anniversary.
1999Castle Acres Brewery in Leicestershire is opened.
1985Richard Everards is the fifth generation of the Everard family to lead Everards. Chairman since the late 1980s, Richard moved into the role of President in 2022. Richard does a lot of work with the local community in Civic roles, business roles and in the voluntary sector. He was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant in 1997, High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 2002, Master of the Worshipful Company of Brewers in 2004 and served as Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire from 2003-2013. He holds Patron or President roles for numerous local causes including Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland, Warning Zone and Prost Aid. He was recognised with an OBE in 2011 in recognition of these roles.
1988The iconic Tiger is launched to create a distinctive presence on the bar. Tiger is still the brewery’s most popular ale today.
1972Everards “Friendly Inns” idea made pubs much more welcoming for the whole community.
1960'sEverards Quarter Century Club is formed. Still a key feature of the business today, it recognises people who have worked for Everards for over 25 years
1950Tony Everard, fourth generation, takes over the business
1949Southgate Street Brewery in Leicester becomes the packaging and distribution centre for the business. All brewing moves to the Tiger Brewery.
1931Sir Lindsay Everard, third generation, takes over the business.
1925The Everard family take sole ownership of the business.
1899To keep up with demand, the Trent Brewery also in Burton on Trent is leased. This is later renamed the Tiger Brewery following purchase of the freehold in 1901.
1898The Bridge Brewery in Burton upon Trent is leased.
1892Thomas Everard, son of William, takes over the business.
1892A modern new brewery is built on the Southgate Street site which is designed by William’s nephew, architect John Everard.
1875The first Everards pubs are bought in Leicestershire.
1862William Everard and Thomas Hull venture into brewing by purchasing Wilmot & Co’s brewery on Southgate Street, in the heart of Leicester.
